Investigating Research Institute’s Technology Transfer and New Product Development Management from the Point of View of Corporate Innovation Management
In the environment with fierce competition and rapid technical change, the firms must constantly innovate to build up their competitive advantage. Since SMEs, the major players in Taiwan, have limited R&D personnel and resources and rely on the external resources for their introduction of new technologies and products. Therefore, the assistance from research institutes to help in new product development and enhance innovative capability is even more important. However, the commercialization strike-rate of the new products and new technologies developed by research institutes is still very low.
