Go West: Explore the Business Models of Taiwan Health Administration Services in Mainland China
The efficiency and effectiveness of medical operations in Taiwan are highly recognized in abroad. Under global budget payment, Taiwan hospitals development had squeezed and appeared difficulties. With aging population and rapid economic growth in China, medical demand and quality oriented market emerged. While China medical industry opens to social capital, it has prosperity, chances as well as potential risks and obstacles. This case study is aim to explore policy supports and limitations in cross-board hospital management services in China, and to discuss “go West” business models with Taiwan hospital experiences. With different types of organizations development, strategies thinking are inspired through industry analysis, limitation of internal and external organization resource, and comparison between niche and obstacles.
