The study unpacks the mediating role of supply chain resilience (SCRES) in linking relationship learning to firm performance, while simultaneously examining the moderating mechanism whereby SCRES is developed. We posit that relationship learning practices, mutual information exchange and relationship memory development, interact with network resource complementarity in enhancing SCRES, which ultimately contributes to firm performance. Based on a questionnaire survey of 217 Taiwanese IT firms, we conduct structural equation modeling and hierarchical moderated regression analysis to test the hypotheses. We confirm that mutual information exchange and relationship memory development positively affect SCRES, which partially mediates the effects of two facets of relationship learning on firm performance. Finally, relationship memory development and network resource complementarity interactively improve SCRES. This study offers pragmatic insights and theoretical implications.
