本研究援引媒體賦名的理論視角，探討核電技術是如何在臺灣社會中被理解或詮釋的社會建構過程。我們蒐集《自由時報》與《聯合報》在2004至2021年間所刊登的相關報導，透過主題建模的方法，找出主導核電議題的技術框架。分析結果指出，臺灣媒體透過五個主題來進行技術的賦名，包括技術爭議、公民投票、環境保護、能源轉型、經濟發展。除此之外，主題重要性的變化受到三個關鍵事件的影響：《京都議定書》生效、日本福島核災、815大規模停電。最後，負面的技術框架（像是停電）會比正面的技術框架在形塑正當性效果上有更顯著的影響。 | |
| 英文摘要 |
This paper draws on media framing as our theoretical view to discuss how nuclear power technology is understood, interpreted, or socially constructed in Taiwan. We use the topic modeling method to analyze newspaper articles collected from the Liberty Times and the United Daily News from 2004 to 2021. The results show that five topics are used to frame nuclear power technology in a debating discursive process: technology controversy, referendum, environmental protection, energy transition, and economic development. We further point out that framing dynamics are shaped by critical events, such as the taking effect of the Kyoto Protocol, Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan, and 815 power outage. Finally, gaining or losing legitimacy appears to be more subject to negative technology frames (such as power outage) than positive technology frames. | |
