近來學者進行公共服務動機研究，多係引用外國學者所設計的問卷與指標項目。以當今較為常見Perry 與Wise 所建構的指標而言，不同論者曾因應國情、文化等因素，據以增修為不同態樣的公共服務動機問卷。若希冀運用於臺灣，除需考量不同背景因素的差異之外，還需克服相關詞彙的翻譯問題及受測者對指標項目的瞭解程度。 | |

Recently, many Taiwan public administration scholars are interested in testing the theory of Public Service Motivation (PSM), which is provided by Perry and Wise, by applying PSM scale locally. The scale was originally developed by Perry in 1996 and has been extensively applied in many countries by many different scholars. They have argued that the scale is actually contextual and cultural bounded. Thus, its applications have to consider not only the above mentioned factors, but also the potential problems in translation. These scholars have proposed many revisions to improve the validity of the original scale. | |
